About Samantha

Hi, I’m Samantha. The brain behind the buzz, the chaos coordinator, and your friendly neighborhood trivia host. I run DeepSandwich Events, which is a deliciously layered, slightly messy, community-fueled event collective with trivia at its heart. You can usually find me behind a mic, an iPad, or a wildly over-annotated planning board trying to make every night feel like the best night out you’ve ever had.

Before trivia nights and mini-game bonus rounds became my calling, I did time as a Navy submarine officer, STEM educator, woodworker, and a math and spreadsheet based artist (check my instagram). These days, I design trivia games that are never just trivia. They’re collaborative, quirky, competitive, and full of unexpected brain-itch moments. If there’s a way to sneak in a puppet troupe, a local tattoo shop, or a way for everyone to just be goofballs together for points, I’m probably going to do it.

I believe events should feel like you’re part of something. That means real prizes, real weirdos, and real community. I work with local businesses, artists, and venues to make each event feel like it couldn’t have happened anywhere else. This isn’t just trivia. It’s trivia with extra sauce.

DeepSandwich

The name itself was randomly generated. It has no actual meaning beyond being a quirky pairing of words. Easy to say, tough to forget.

I’m on a mission to bring people together in the real world for experiences that they can look forward to because they know they’ll leave even happier than they expected to by the end of the night. Even if they got last place in my game.

My Events

My main thing now is team trivia. But I’m currently planning other types of events that will bring people together for a good ol’ time.

My recurring events will always be free. But in the near future there will be other events that are ticketed. Follow me on Instagram to stay up to date.
